A bit about me.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Studies and a Post Graduate degree in Holistic Psychotherapy.  I've been fortunate to work in Australia's leading mental health facilities, supporting individuals dealing with trauma, addiction, and various mental health challenges.

I've also had my own experiences with trauma and subsequent mental health challenges - I know first hand that things can get better.

Some of the practices that inform my approach:

HOLISTIC PSYCHOTHERAPY

An integrative approach that acknowledges the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. It recognizes that mental health is not isolated from other aspects of your life. By working holistically, we explore all dimensions of your human experience, aiming to not only bring balance and harmony to your life, but to uncover your natural ability to do so.

ADDRESSING CHILDHOOD

We addresses the impact of childhood trauma and experiences. We identify and heal core wounds and beliefs, fostering emotional maturity. By recognizing and addressing dysfunctional behaviors, we work together to cultivate healthier relationships, self-awareness, and a more balanced, authentic sense of self.

MBCBT

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy ;combines the principles of mindfulness with traditional cognitive-behavioral techniques. It encourages you to become more aware of your thoughts and feelings without judgment, promoting a more compassionate relationship with your inner world. This helps you break free from negative thought patterns, reduce anxiety, and manage stress more effectively.

ACT

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a powerful approach that focuses on acceptance of your thoughts and feelings, combined with a commitment to living in alignment with your values. We will work on identifying your core values and help you live a more meaningful and fulfilling life. This process involves learning to accept what is beyond your control and developing the skills to take committed action.

POLYVAGAL PRACTICES

Understanding how our nervous system influences our reactions to stress and social interactions -is at the heart of the Polyvagal theory. Learning to connect to one's nervous system is like having an inner compass guiding our emotional responses and learning to regulate our nervous system.

PERSON CENTERED APPROACH

It's about putting the client, at the center of the therapeutic journey. I create a safe and empathetic space, free of judgment, where you can openly explore your thoughts and emotions. I aim to foster trust, authenticity, and a genuine partnership in your path to healing and well-being.
